Advert

St Mildred's is looking for a dedicated, innovative, creative, self motivated and determined teacher to join our school.  The post will be a temporary position linked to maternity cover expected to be for one year, and would suit an experienced or newly qualified teacher.  The year group we will require you to teach is flexible and will depend on your previous experience.

St Mildred's is a school with a creative and child centred approach to education.  Our inspiration is the quote "Children must be taught how to think and not what to think".

You will be part of a team determined to offer the best possible education for the children for whom we are responsible and who are not afraid to take a pioneering approach to achieve our aims.  Indeed, our most recent Ofsted report stated:

'Everyone works together to help pupils acheive their very best.  Consequently pupils are happy and eager to be at schoo'.

The School is 'determined that pupils should receive an excellent education so that they can leave St Mildred's informed and well rounded invididuals'.

You should be willing to use your skills and talents to help foster a love of learning, independence and strong self-belief in the children.  You should have the determination to ensure all the children in your class can develop the ability to question and think for themselves and aspire to be the best they can be.  In exchange we can offer you happy, enthusiastic children and a supportive staff team who are passionate about St Mildred's and its vision "Dream Big, Aim High, Make a Difference."

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Qualified Teacher Status.  We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers.  Experience of teaching in either an infant school or primary school, with a good achievement of meeting Teaching and Learning Standards.

A sound knowledge and understanding of how children learn in different ways and how to implement effective teaching and learning strategies.

We are a school focussed on enabling our children to become confident and creative builders of their own future.  We do this through a team of people who are caring, nurturing and supportive of each individual.

Does this sound like the perfect role for you?  If you have the skills and expertise we are seeking, we would love to hear from you.

We strongly recommend you have a look at our website and encourage you to contact the school to arrange a visit.

Candidates will be notified by email about interview arrangements.
