We are seeking to appoint a Head of our Creative Department. 

We are looking for an innovative person to teach and lead music as well as lead three other departments in the faculty (Food Technology, Art and Design and Technology).

You will be motivated to inspire pupils from Key stage 1, 2 3 & 4 to love Creative Arts.  The post will start in September 2024. The successful candidate will be joining and leading a lively, enthusiastic and supportive team with many opportunities for continuing professional development. 

You must be resourceful, flexible, positive and motivated with a good sense of humour.  You will share our belief that all pupils can achieve and be successful.  You will have the ability to organise, inspire and motivate young people with special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health difficulties. 

Bower Grove is a modern, well-equipped school providing a highly personalised and structured curriculum. We have 12 pupils in a class with three learning support assistants. We offer a unique teaching and learning environment, committed staff and excellent career development opportunities.  The school caters for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) and autism spectrum conditions.  Come and join a great staff team.

  • Have empathy and understanding towards young people.
