Finance Manager (starting asap) Full or Part time
Salary: FTE £28,000 - £35,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience
We are looking for a committed, highly effective, organised Finance Manager who is confident and able to ‘hit the ground running’. You will be responsible for ensuring that the School’s statutory financial obligations are met and that the finance function operates efficiently, applying value for money VfM principles and ensuring regularity and propriety.
The ideal candidate will possess a professional accountancy qualification or AAT level 2 or above as a minimum and have extensive finance experience preferably in the education sector. Professional financial status would be an advantage but not essential.
You will have experience of strategic financial planning, excellent numeracy and communication skills with the ability to understand and analyse complex financial data. All of this will be combined with the skills and experience to prepare budgets, produce monthly management accounts & reports, analyse trends & spend patterns, prepare cashflow forecasts and salary analysis as well as manage the daily financial routines. Candidates will be supported by a Finance Officer.
Candidates will have excellent MS office skills e.g. Excel and Word and be competent users of a range of finance/school specific packages. Knowledge of Sage 50 is essential, ParentPay and SIMS would be a distinct advantage but not essential.

Trinity is a growing, non-denominational Christian free school based in Sevenoaks, Kent. We are a single academy trust which operates under the sponsorship of 30 local churches in the Sevenoaks area. Trinity was founded in 2013 by a committed group of local people, many of whom are governors of the school. We moved into our brand new, state-of-the-art building in September 2016 with years 7,8,9 and 10 (470 students). At full capacity we will accommodate 790 - 840 students, including our new Sixth Form, due to open in September 2018. Students at Key Stage 3 follow a broad, balanced curriculum and are allocated extra time for English and Maths. We are delighted to be opening our new Sixth Form in September 2018, with the capacity to accommodate 190 students. A variety of pathways will be on offer. We will be offering seventeen subjects, which includes nine facilitating subjects, a group of subjects that are frequently required for entry to degree courses, typically courses that run at Russell Group universities. In addition, we have a further eight subjects that are also academic and some with a creative learning.
