Ditton Junior School is located in Ditton, a large peaceful village in the Tonbridge and Malling district, South East of England. Ditton has beautiful farmland and countryside to the south and links to the M20 to the north, and is therefore an ideal place to work and live. The Ditton Community Centre holds regular events and clubs from the ‘Ditton Minors’ football club for boys and girls to a school of dance, ‘get fit’ classes, badminton and more! 

Ditton is next to Aylesford, and within walking distance, there’s the Aylesford retail park. Here you’ll find a large supermarket, and various other great shopping facilities. Maidstone is only a 20 minute drive away, where you can find a good selection of high street shops along Fremlin Walk and in the shopping centre the Mall. End your day of shopping with a meal at one of the many restaurants in town. 

The closest train station is Aylesford, and with one change, you can get to central London in under an hour. You can also catch a train from Maidstone which has three stations and travels to various locations in the South East, as well as a direct train to London.

Ditton is close to the Kent Downs, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Why not visit places such as Ryarsh, or Birling and take in the lovely views and surroundings. The historic remains of the Neolithic Long Barrow is nearby, which is owned by the National Trust and provides an interesting insight into history. Other historical sites include listed buildings such as the Old Mill House and Ditton’s 12th century church.
