This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Deputy Head Teacher or existing Head Teacher to build on the school’s current position as a “Good” school and move us towards “Outstanding”.

You will be supported by a strong leadership team and great administrative staff.  The Governors will continue to be a supportive and encouraging body.  We will work and develop with you to achieve your goals.

The governing body strongly believes in growing leaders for the future and we will provide you with all the support you need through your induction and through on-going professional development.

You will be provided with an experienced Head Teacher mentor who will offer advice and support whenever needed.

We are a one form entry over-subscribed maintained school with close ties to the Local Authority. We work with local schools and this is something we would like you develop further.

Our pupils are looking for a Head Teacher who is kind, happy and funny. A Head Teacher that loves books, is sporty and likes technology.

Our parents are looking for a Head Teacher that will continue to develop their children into confident learners.

Our staff would like you to have a driving passion to further improve their great school.

Are you this person?

We strongly recommend prospective candidates to view the school.  To arrange a visit, please contact our Chair of Governors, Sheila Wilmot, at swilmot@high-firs.kent.sch.uk or our vice chair of governors, Steve Geary, at sgeary@high-firs.kent.sch.uk.  We welcome the opportunity for you to visit us, to see how we are different from other schools and answer any questions you may have.
