The School

Holcombe Grammar School are recruiting for an outstanding, energetic and inspirational Headteacher to lead the school.

We are a successful grammar school for students aged 11-18 with a long-standing reputation for being a supportive and caring environment in which to teach and learn. 

After the school’s 'Good' Ofsted judgement in April 2018, Holcombe Grammar School will continue to make rapid progress towards becoming one of the most successful grammar schools in the Southeast. Our new Headteacher will lead Holcombe Grammar School from Good to Outstanding and will do all that it takes to get us there.

The Role

What you will need to succeed:

  • A strong track record of educational leadership and improving attainment and achievement
  • Highly effective communication skills
  • Ability to maintain great relationships with students, staff, parents, governors, the community and all stakeholders.
  • Experience of working at leadership level in a school which includes secondary age range
  • Fully acquainted with the demands and requirements of the KS4 and KS5 curriculum
  • Qualified Teacher Status and degree qualification
