Oakfield Primary Academy is located in the town of Dartford and lies on the border of Kent, close to the London borough of Bexley. The River Darent flows through the town centre’s valley, fed by springs in the greens and hills close by.

Europe and London are practically on your doorstep with Dartford’s strong transport links. You can pick up the A2 main road quickly and travel directly to central London within the hour. Ebbsfleet International station is also close by, as well as several train stations in and around the surrounding area.

Within Dartford is one of Europe’s largest shopping centres, Bluewater. Here, you’ll find a variety of activities to keep you occupied, including top high street stores, cafes and restaurants, a 13 screen multiplex cinema, outdoor adventure park and ice rink as well as several seasonal events.

A short distance away is Darenth Country Park, on the edge of the North Downs, above the Darent Valley. The park provides various cycling, running and walking routes for you to explore the grounds as well as sociable picnic areas and the opportunity to absorb the beautiful scenery.
