Five Oak Green is set in the beautiful Kent countryside near the town of Tonbridge, a historic market town on the River Medway, absorbed in history with it's own castle dating from Norman times.

Five Oak Green is a village which has been a major centre (UK spelling preferred) for hop growing in since the 1800's and is still home to the Hoppers, the old hop pickers hospital, now a historical site attracting visitors from afar.

Five Oak Green has a bus route running through it making access to both Paddock Wood and Tonbridge train stations convenient, both of which are main line stations giving easy access to central London, Gatwick Airport, Kent and outer counties.

Apart from being close to Tonbridge and Paddock Wood, Five Oak Green is about 5 miles from Tunbridge Wells, which offers varied shopping, music, theatre and other cultural opportunities.

Five Oak Green is a village with a real community feel, consisting of a local village shop, churches, a gym, nearby pubs and restaurants, a village hall that hosts many community events such as the fun-filled summer fayre, a play park with recreational grounds and many scenic walking routes.

Five Oak Green is also home to Capel Pre School (Ofsted Outstanding), with which Capel Primary School has very close links, often sharing information and guidance between the two settings, and is a prime feeder to the Primary School.
