St Peter's Methodist Primary School is looking for a dynamic, professional and experienced leader who can secure outstanding teaching and learning for all pupils.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take our school from good to outstanding, following all the hard work which our team of dedicated and committed staff have put in over the past four years. Our teachers are enthusiastic and highly skilled and share in the vision of what our school aims to become.

You are invited to join us on this “journey to outstanding” by leading a team of governors, staff, parents and pupils who all share the same goal: that of providing an outstanding learning experience for all pupils who cross the threshold of St Peter’s Methodist Primary School.

St Peter’s is a rewarding school in which to work: you will be supported by wonderful, committed staff and you will find our pupils are enthusiastic and willing learners.

We are looking for an effective, dynamic leader who understands our distinctive Christian character and shares our Methodist ethos.  We enjoy strong links with St Peter’s Methodist Church, with whom we share grounds and facilities within the heart of Canterbury’s historic city.  You will be keen to enhance and develop our relationship with the church as we work together to provide a school for our pupils which is second to none.

You will be able to draw upon the support of an experienced and able governing body, as well as the EduCant collaboration.  Experienced Headteachers from EduCant are available to mentor and help guide the successful applicant if required, which makes this an ideal first Headship for an aspiring Deputy Head.

The school is in a secure financial position and has a track record of careful financial monitoring; nevertheless you should have experience of managing budgets to ensure we achieve our financial goals and plan wisely for the future.

Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
