An exciting opportunity has arisen at Borden Church of England Primary School!

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and inspirational Head of School, who has the drive and enthusiasm to take up this exciting opportunity to lead our happy, ambitious and popular school. The successful applicant will also have the essential skills to be able to work as part of a team in both the school and within a successful collaboration of local schools.

This role would provide an ideal platform for an aspiring Deputy Head who will be able to lead us forward with enthusiasm and dedication to the role, guiding and supporting a dedicated team of experienced staff.

This vacancy provides an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership career. As a small school, you will rapidly acquire experience in every aspect of Headship - from finessing the finances to improving delivery of the curriculum, from supporting teachers to representing the school. You will get to know each and every pupil and ensure they all benefit from an individualised education. A part of the Unitas Collaboration, there will also be an opportunity to benefit from the support and experience of an Executive Head Teacher and three other heads of school who work closely as a senior leadership team across the collaboration.

Governors are actively involved in the school and share the ethos and vision. You will benefit from advice and retreats offered by the diocese reflecting a belief that the wellbeing of everybody is of paramount importance. The Friends of Borden (FOBs) is an active Parent/teacher association, organising several events each term and generating a valuable additional income stream.

If you would like to visit the school to learn more, please contact the school office. We can arrange a time to suit you and you will have the opportunity to speak with the current Head of School, the Executive Head Teacher and the Chair of Governors.

Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
