Belle Vue school in Cranbrook and Cornfields School in Ashford are small, independent special needs school for children aged between 7 and 19 years of age.    Our schools create a calm, orderly and safe space where every child is able to be supported to develop academically and emotionally.

Our Progress & Engagement Guides fulfil a key role in pupils’ progress by working with pupils and teachers to identify gaps in knowledge and providing 1:1 support or small group working to close the gaps.  The precise nature of this intensive support ensures pupils are not left behind in classroom learning and are able to make rapid and sustainable progress.

We are seeking  Progress & Engagement Guides to join our teams at both our Ashford and  Cranbrook schools.  An understanding and  appreciation of special educational needs would be an advantage but the essential qualities required will include compassion, flexibility and the ability to engage with pupils with passion, determination and resilience.   We support and  work with wonderfully individual children and have the opportunity to change their lives and improve their life chances.

Our staff team are amazing and they benefit from CPD opportunities to enable them to develop and progress.

If you believe you are able to make a positive difference to our pupils then we would welcome an application form from you.

Information about the school

Both Belle Vue School and Cornfields are smaller than average-sized special schools which operate a nurture-based ethos and are registered to admit 60 and 50 pupils respectfully. The schools serves pupils aged 7-19 who have a range of primary diagnosis including autism, social, emotional and mental health difficulties and cognition and learning difficulties.

Our pupils are wonderfully individual, each one with strengths and areas for improvement. Our schools are calm, quiet and orderly settings where pupils can be supported to develop academically and emotionally.

Ofsted inspected both of the schools separately and judged them both to be Outstanding in all areas.

Our vision is that every child should go to an inspiring and life changing school, have the best teaching and benefit from all services working in partnership with each other to ensure their future life chances are improved.

At the core of our schools is a drive to improve life chances of children. We will go above and beyond, set high expectations and improve outcomes by working together with others.
