This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic SENDCo or aspiring SENDCo to make a difference to our children.

We are looking for someone who is capable of initiating and developing effective strategies which enable our SEND pupils to achieve their very best and who is committed and passionate about their own professional and leadership development.

In return, you will be joining a Medway Hub consisting of three schools, Elaine Primary, Delce Academy and Maundene Primary where there are teams of staff who are committed to providing the best possible learning opportunities for its children and staff. The SENDCo role is an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team and forms part of the Inclusion team. We have strong networks including a SEND hub across the schools of the Inspire Partnership Academy Trust.

The candidate should be a qualified SENDCo or, for the right candidate, show a willingness to complete the NASENCO award.

The Medway Hub of schools are innovative and dynamic and form part of a wider group of nine schools of the Inspire Partnership. There are two SEMH provisions at Elaine Primary and Delce Academy.

We have very high expectations of all staff and children and would expect the successful candidate to share in our vision and belief that success comes from developing a growth mindset which values effort and believes that anything is possible for all our students and staff.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold or be willing to work towards a recognised SENDCo qualification
  • Be a strong leader, who is committed to providing the highest standards of provision for SEND pupils
  • Be an excellent practitioner in the primary classroom
