Cover Supervisor 

NJC Grade C1 points 6-19 -£19,698 - £25,481 per annum

(pro rata: £15,580 - £20,154 per annum)

 

The successful applicant will be awarded a joining bonus of £1,000, paid in two instalments. The first payment being awarded in the first month of employment, and the second being awarded after successful completion of the probationary period.

 

Hours: 35 hours per week, term time only

Greenacre Academy, a single sex secondary boys school in Chatham, require a Cover Supervisor who will be responsible for the supervision of classes in the absence of   a teacher.

As Cover Supervisor you will supervise classes during the absence of teachers, providing learning activities for classes under the direction and supervision of the class teacher. You will be required to respond to students’ general questions and give feedback to the teacher on broad issues such as behaviour but will not be expected to undertake detailed planning, preparation, delivery or assessment of students’ progress and development.

You will need experience of working with children of relevant age, the ability to apply behaviour management policies and strategies, and necessary skills to manage classroom activities and the physical learning spaces safely.
