You will be required to supervise the students during their lunch time. This could involve being inside or outside, ensuring their safety and good behaviour.

 

You will need to be a calm, responsible, team player who enjoys being in the company of 11 - 18 year old children. Some experience of supervising students in this age group would be an advantage and a willingness to undertake relevant training is essential.

 

You will be expected to:

 

  • Maintain order in the canteen, and other inside and outside areas anticipating and dealing with any problems that may arise
  • Work as part of a team and referring issues onwards if needed.
  • Attend to first aid injuries
  • Supervise students whilst they have their break

 

The successful applicant will be joining a team of dedicated staff who are committed to providing a safe and stimulating environment which nurtures the potential in everyone.

The working hours are 1 hour per day, between 1pm - 2pm, term-time only. This is a casual contract, you are paid for the hours you work and are under no obligation to accept work that is offered. Part time working (i.e. 2 or 3 days a week, or a job share) will be considered. Please discuss your preference at interview if shortlisted. 

 

The rate of pay is £10 per hour.

Lessons at DSTC have a calm and purposeful atmosphere with the students showing a genuine interest in learning. Our teachers tell us they enjoy being able to teach and enable the students to learn without disruption.
