Kitchen Assistant 

10 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term time only)  

11.30 – 13.30   Mon-Fri 

 

We are seeking to appoint two part-time servery assistants to work in our brand new, state of the art kitchen. Our kitchen currently serves a cooked lunch to 90 pupils every day, and is maintained to an exceptionally high standard of efficiency and hygiene. This role is temporary in the first instance and will evolve as and when catering comes onsite.

Who are we looking for? 
  • Above all else we are looking for someone with the right attitude and outlook, combined with the appropriate practical skills ideally learned in a commercial kitchen. 
  • The job is more than just serving meals it is about making a meaningful and long-lasting contribution to the Platt family, and so the willingness to get involved the whole-school ethos is essential. 
  • The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a busy kitchen and will preferably hold relevant food qualifications and demonstrate high levels of organisation / teamwork needed to prepare the kitchen, deliver 90 meals and clean down in a 2-hour window every day.
