We are seeking to recruit an experienced, passionate, and effective practitioner, to join our successful and dedicated team of ASD specialist staff.

Our school has an established specialist resource provision, where children are nurtured and educated in a way that matches their needs.  We are looking for a person who has qualifications, skills, and ambition for the children to enable them to accomplish their learning and personal targets.

Working across the school, with SRP and mainstream staff, the role is suited to someone with a sense of purpose, a positive outlook and attitude, and a passion for helping children be the best that they can be.

The team are highly skilled in adapting learning and delivery to enable all children to succeed, and this career opportunity would enable the right candidate to work alongside the current staff to continue to develop outstanding practice.

Essential skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status or, unqualified teacher status and experience.
  • Proven ability to teach pupils with ASD effectively through the use of dynamic & engaging techniques.
  • The ability to work with a team in a responsive and flexible manner, responding to the instruction and advice of the Lead Teacher.
  • Ability to reflect and see solutions in daily teaching, in own practice and that of the team.
  • The use of independent initiative when supporting pupils in all Key Stages.
  • To share ideas for the adjustment of learning to enable pupils to access the learning effectively.
  • To support the planning and preparing lessons and resources that are to be adapted for pupils in the SRP.
  • To build effective trusting relationships with parents, external agencies, and a range of professionals
  • To use knowledge of research and experience to bring ideas and methods of support to the SENCo, SRP Lead Teacher and school team to enable all children to reach their full potential.
  • A willingness and interest in using CPD to further develop career.
