Minster CofE Primary School has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable Premises Manager to join our friendly staff team.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, flexible, reliable and self-motivated. They will have good time management, prioritise duties effectively and work on their own initiative. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the care and maintenance of the school premises, ensuring that high standards of compliance are maintained and that all facilities are safe and fit for purpose. A knowledge of Health and Safety, and a wide range of practical skills are essential to this role, as well as being able to communicate effectively.

This is a full-time role based on 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year.

Working hours will be allocated between 7am – 6pm (to be discussed at interview).

Working hours may be subject to variation.  You may have to attend call-outs at weekends and unsocial hours from time to time.

Annual holiday entitlement is 25 days (increasing to 28 days after 5 years’ service). Holidays will need to be taken during school holidays periods.

  • Has good DIY/general maintenance skills.
  • Has a sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation as it applies to school.
  • Takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining a safe and attractive learning environment for children.

  • Has a personal drive to make a difference and will contribute to the continued development of our school.
  • Has a desire to work in an exciting environment, supporting the long-term vision of the Leadership Team.

  • Is able to work closely with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents, carers and other professionals.
