Advert

Trustees are seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead Veritas Multi Academy Trust.  We are looking for an inspirational leader with a breadth of experience in educational leadership. We want you to build on our established vision to make learning irresistible for all.

Our trust has three primary schools based in Deal, Canterbury and Folkestone. Our trust ethos is to grow a community of schools that work together to be innovative, inclusive and inspirational. As a result, our trust has a strong reputation in the community and is recognised as an Academy Sponsor by the Department for Education. Above all, we want our children, staff and communities to feel the excitement that education brings. This is achieved through an outward-facing culture where research-informed practice informs our strategic vision.

As CEO of the trust, you will use well-established coaching skills to motivate school leaders to provide an outstanding quality of education within their schools. We want you to be outward-facing and connect with schools, trust leaders and educational organisations that will strengthen and inspire you in your role. Building on our established culture of research-informed practice, we want you to be both interested in and knowledgeable about educational research, using this to inform your practice and inspire others.  We want you to have an ambitious drive to grow our trust, gathering like-minded schools that have a culture of irresistible learning at their heart.

In order to assure the best outcomes for all pupils, you will undertake the role of accounting officer for the trust.  In this role, you will be expected to work with the Trust Business Manager to ensure the business functions of the trust are highly effective. This will involve knowledge of the Academy Trust Handbook and an active role in monitoring the financial systems and risk management. You will also be expected to have a strong understanding of safeguarding in order to ensure schools leaders uphold their responsibility to maintain a culture of safeguarding for all pupils.

As our CEO we will provide you with a talent pathway that will develop your knowledge and skills as a system leader and build your network of support as an inspirational leader.

Information about the trust

Veritas Multi Academy Trust is a growing trust of 3 primary schools. Our vision is to make learning irresistible for all across our trust schools. Our ethos is to grow a family of schools that work together to be innovative, inclusive and inspirational.

Our schools maintain a character that is rooted in their community. This makes each school distinct while sharing core values and benefiting from collaborative ways of working. Sharing the best practice across our schools to strengthen the outcomes for our children.

Above all, we want our children, our staff and our communities to feel the excitement that education brings. This is achieved through connections and networks both within schools, across schools and beyond the trust. Building a culture of outward-facing research-informed practice in all we do.

We thrive on educational networks. Through the links with Canterbury Christ Church University and the Chartered College of Teaching, we lead on research practice across East Kent. Providing opportunities for staff across our trust and beyond to deepen their evidence-informed practice through research groups and events including teach meets and journal clubs.

We have also formed a network of trusts that support one another, providing a wider family of support for our schools. This has connected staff across our schools to other trusts, building relationships and widening the network of professional conversations across Kent.
