HR ASSISTANT

35 hours per week (Mon to Fri, 08:00-16:00), 38 weeks per year (term time only) plus holiday pay

Salary range:  TDET Band 5, Point 14-17 

Actual salary (including holiday pay): £15,558-£16,563 per annum (pro rata to £19,625-£20,893 for an all year round role)

The Decus Educational Trust (TDET) is looking to appoint an HR Assistant with excellent IT and interpersonal skills to work across the Trust at Whitehill Primary School and Gravesend Grammar School, you will be predominantly located at Whitehill.

The successful applicant will report to TDET’s HR Manager and will be required to undertake a broad spectrum of HR/personnel related matters including administering the recruitment process, preparing contractual letters and paperwork, maintaining employee files and electronic records.   Previous HR  experience is desirable, together with a good level of IT skills including high competence in Google cloud services (Mail/Drive/Docs/Forms) and SIMS. 

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong track record of professionalism and confidence in their working practice, an understanding of the need for sensitivity and confidentiality that will be required in this role and the flexibility to work independently and as part of the wider HR function.

All applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and an Enhanced DBS check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
