Do you have experience of supporting teaching and learning in a primary school, working with Key Stage 1 pupils? Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who can show initiative and enjoys working with children? We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work as a class TA with one of our Year 1 classes.

We are looking for the right person who will:

  • Work in partnership with our Key Stage 1 teaching team to meet children's needs
  • Deliver high quality learning support to enable children to make steps of progress across the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Provide opportunities to develop children's play and social skills in recreation times
  • Be organised, flexible and willing to use your initiative in order to meet children’s needs
  • Have a positive outlook, with a good sense of humour and high expectations of our children.
  • Experience of supporting the teaching and learning of phonics would be an advantage

We are looking for candidates who can support the positive caring ethos of our school and who have the qualifications, experience and willingness to form and sustain positive relationships with children and staff, and be flexible in their approach to meet our children’s needs.

Candidates must have experience of supporting children in a primary school setting.

Candidates should have the minimum qualifications of 5 GCSEs with a good pass including English and Maths, and/ or NVQ Level 3 or above.

The hours are 8.45am to 3.00pm, term time only.
