KEY STAGE TWO CLASS TEACHER - Starting Term 4 or 5 - 2022

Are you an inspirational, enthusiastic teacher who has high aspirations for your pupils and for yourself?  Would you like to teach in a school with lovely children and a great staff team?

We are in search of a class teacher with a passion for providing exciting and stimulating learning experiences for our children, someone who puts the children at the heart.  We are an ‘Outstanding’ (OFSTED and SIAMS) school but we still have plans to develop our school in so many ways and have a desire to see everyone flourish along the way.

Would you like to join us?

As a Church School we live by our Christian Vision and Values. Love, Learning and Laughter are key to all we do and we learn together, celebrating everyone’s achievements along the way.  We educate every child to reach their full potential; the children are the reason we are here!  Our Vision drives everything and is the map for our journey as a school.  Life at ‘The Endowed’ is rewarding, we make learning enjoyable and challenging; we are never complacent and constantly aim to improve all we do.

The right candidate will show the qualities of an ‘Outstanding’ teacher and be willing to blossom in their vocation as an essential part of a successful and experienced team.

You will benefit from working with the most amazing children and supportive parents; a dedicated and friendly staff, an outstanding Governing Body and our local churches; our local schools as well as continued support for your professional development. There will be an expectation that you will lead a curriculum subject.

If you feel that you would like to and are able to become part of The Endowed family; that you have the necessary experience to build on and the confidence to suggest changes, ours could be the school for you.

Visits to the school are usually essential prior to invitation for interview.  We would love to hear from you and to arrange your visit.  Come and get to know us all, and us, you.

Applicants should note that the school reserves the right to interview and appoint a suitable candidate prior to the advertised deadline, and as such, early applications are welcome.

Whitstable & Seasalter Endowed Church of England (Aided) Junior School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  This is underpinned by robust processes and procedures that seek to maximise opportunity, minimise risk and continuously promote a culture of safeguarding amongst our workforce.  All successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and check against the ISA Barred List for children. Appointed staff are also expected to follow a robust Code of Conduct in accordance with our church school’s Christian Values.

Information about the school

We are a Church of England Aided Junior school, situated in the heart of Whitstable. From September 2021 we will be admitting 60 children into Year 3 from our local infant feeder schools. We are at the start of our expansion and will have seven classes in September 2021, eventually growing to eight classes in total by 2024. Locally we are known as 'The Endowed' and we describe ourselves as an old school with a young heart.

Our children come from all sorts of different backgrounds. Our parents, friends, governors and our local churches give amazing support and this, together with the dedication of a very experienced and caring staff, make The Endowed the Outstanding school that it is.

Our School's Vision and Values:

As a school family, living and learning with a thirst for knowledge, we delight in everyone’s achievements sharing joy and laughter along the way. Within the love of God we nurture aspirations, celebrate each other’s individuality enabling all to flourish. We let our lights shine in school, our community and the World beyond. LOVE - JOY - GOODNESS - RESILIENCE - TRUST Let your light shine. Matthew 5: 14-16
