This exciting role will not only help our young people to fulfil their potential, but also provide great experience for anyone who might be considering a career in teaching in the future.

The successful candidate will be very well supported by the Subject Leaders and work with the Deputy Headteacher as a whole team to ensure identified students make great progress.

You do not need detailed experience of the secondary curriculum, just a good background knowledge of the subject and a willingness to learn.

The post is for 3 - 4 days per week and is term time only (39 weeks per year). The working pattern is 08:30 - 16:00. There is some flexibility in the days/hours for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed term contract until the end of the academic year 2021/2022.

As a school we will offer you:

  • A comprehensive induction
  • Performance management reviews take place annually in September with the opportunity for a performance related pay increase once an employee is eligible i.e. has been employed long enough for evidence to be provided
  • The opportunity to be part of a whole school team which believes in working together to achieve excellence
  • A school which values every individuals’ contribution and seeks to develop skills and talents across all areas of school life
  • A school which believes that students and staff should ‘enjoy the journey!’

If you would like an informal conversation with the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher prior to applying this would be welcomed.

Kent County Council and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The appointment is subject to satisfactory references, medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check.
