We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking, enthusiastic and committed team. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Level 2/3 in Teaching and Learning in School (or equivalent)
  • Have experience of supporting learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Have a strong belief in inclusion, diversity and the right of each child to be successful whatever their needs, abilities and background.
  • Have experience of supporting the inclusion, learning and development of children with Special Educational Needs
  • Be determined to provide the very best outcomes for the children they work with
  • Use their good sense of humour to maintain positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents
  • Have effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Know how to effectively support children’s reading, writing and number knowledge and skills
  • Demonstrate a willingness to take on board professional development in order to develop further.

Saltwood Play and Learning Centre is a registered charity with a team of up to 15 staff operating from the grounds of Saltwood School and offering childcare for nursery and school age children during term time.
