We are looking to recruit an Intervention Teaching Assistant to join our team, this role is to support small groups and individual children  in collaboration with the class teacher and the SENCO.

This is a great time to join Water Meadows; we are growing into a full 1 form entry school and have just had an extension to provide 4 new classrooms and a state of the art lirbary!

We are looking for teaching assistants who:

  • Recognise that our current education system needs to radically change to better prepare our young people for the 21st centur
  • Are able to take advantage of the latest technology to support modern, 21st century learning
  • Want to develop their own practice to meet the needs of an evolving school syste
  • Want to develop children as life-long, curious learner
  • Want to build strong relationships with children that facilitate their learnin
  • Want to teach in enabling environments that promote flexibility, collaboration and independence

This role is:

  • Term time only working
  • 18.75 hrs per week
  • Monday to Friday - 8:45am- 12:30pm
  • Paid at pro rata'd KR3 - approximately £7825 (43 paid weeks to include 5 weeks holiday pay).

Please note this role is attached to funding and therefore will be a temporary contract subject to review on 31st August 2022. If the funding is removed or reduced the contract may change before the review date.

Water Meadows Primary School is a growing 1FE school on the outskirts of Canterbury.

In September 2020 Water Meadows was expanded with the opening of a new school building, which provides additional teaching space in the form of 4 brand new state of the art classrooms and a learning resource centre.

The school is a member of The Stour Academy Trust, a forwarding thinking Multi Academy Trust of primary schools that are transforming that way that children learn in order to better prepare them for the 21st century.
