This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference!

Medway Green School is part of Acorn Care and Education and is a new independent special school based in Wouldham, Kent.  The school is registered to cater for up to 56 students aged 5 -14 with an Education, Health and Care Plan in place and a range of needs including Social, Emotional & Mental Health difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Condition and ADHD.

Our students have typically struggled to fit into a mainstream environment and have normally missed large chunks of their education through lack of attendance or being withdrawn due to behavioural incidents.  Our aim is to provide a personal and calm environment that encourages and supports students towards self-regulation and being ready to access the curriculum.

We are looking to add to our rapidly growing team by recruiting enthusiastic and committed TAs who are passionate about working with young people with Special Educational Needs.  Can you support and inspire our young people, helping them to achieve their full potential? This is an exciting time to become part of our organisation as we look to further expand and reach our goal of becoming an outstanding provision for vulnerable young people in Kent and Medway.

We are seeking to recruit empathetic and passionate individuals who:

  • have a passion and commitment to supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Ideally have some knowledge or experience of working with young people.
  • Are willing to work as part of a team.
  • Are patient, resilient, calm and composed.
  • Are flexible and adaptable.
  • Have GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and mathematics
  • Have strong ICT skills
  • Are committed to developing themselves personally and professionally.

This post is for 37.5 hours per week 39 weeks per year (term time only plus staff development days)

Applications will be considered in the order in which they are received. Medway Green School reserves the right to interview at any point during the recruitment process and early applications are encouraged.
