Are you a dynamic and passionate Teaching Assitant seeking a new and rewarding role?

Are you searching for an opportunity that offers you variety and the chance to make a significant and positive impact to the way that children learn and engage?

Are you passionate about providing an outstanding educational experience for young people?  If your answer is Yes, then we would love to hear from you!

We are looking to recruit 2 highly motivated people to join our highly successful team at The Maidstone & Malling Alternative Provision.  We are seeking candidates who are keen to rise to the challenge of providing high quality teaching and learning support across all subjects with a special emphasis on improving literacy, reading and handwriting and to meet the holistic needs of those who have been identified as being at risk of, or have been permanently excluded, from mainstream education.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role. To be successful you will need to be educated to a good standard with a minimum of 5 GCSEs with English and Maths at 4 or above (or Level 2 FS equivalent).  You will also need to be organised, motivated and have an innovative and child centred approach.

We are looking for applicants who can work well under pressure and are not fazed by behavioural issues and are fully committed to show empathy and patience to encourage all of our pupils to feel valued and supported.  Flexibility, understanding and a strong sense of humour are important.

To continue to promote our high attendance expectations, our students are collected in the school minibus to come to school and there are also a number of off site activities which require minibus drivers.  A KCC minibus licence is preferable but not essential.  However, applicants will be required to undertake training.

Professional and career development are a priority and all staff receive an induction and support programme.

MMAP is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and expects all staff and post holders to share this commitment.  We apply robust recruitment and selection procedures to ensure that the candidates selected are of the highest calibre.

All candidates are appropriately screened prior to the appointment and an enhanced DBS disclosure and other employment checks will be required for the successful candidates.  The Provision is committed to equality and diversity in employment practice and service delivery.

All applications are required to come via Kent-Teach.
