Year 3 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Do you have experience of supporting teaching and learning in a primary school? Do you have a positive outlook and a good sense of humour? Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who can show initiative and enjoys working with children? Can you create learning opportunities linked to children's interests to engage them in the curriculum? We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in Year 3 and you could be just the right person for the role!

We are looking for the right person who will:

  • Work in partnership with our Year 3 teaching team
  • Deliver high quality learning support to engage pupils
  • Use their initiative to look for opportunities to personalise the curriculum to capture their interests
  • Be organised, flexible and patient in order to meet children’s needs
  • Have a positive outlook, with a good sense of humour and high expectations of our children.

We are looking for candidates who can support the positive caring ethos of our school and who have the qualifications, experience and willingness to form and sustain positive relationships with children and staff, and be flexible in their approach to meet our children’s needs.

Candidates must have experience of supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.

Candidates must have the minimum qualifications of 5 GCSEs with a good pass including English and Maths, and/ or NVQ Level 3 or above. Experience of working with children with SEND would be beneficial. Please make sure that your application reflects the full range of skills and experience which you would bring to the post, which would make you the ideal candidate.

The hours will be 8.45 to 3.00, Monday to Friday, term time only (28.75 hours per week). This is a temporary post for the academic year.
