We are looking to appoint a highly motivated SEND teaching partner to join our team at Temple Grove Academy.

Full-time, term time (39 weeks), spent in class, lunchtime supervision

This is a fixed term contract to support a named pupil.

The main focus of the role is to provide support to pupils in receipt of High Needs Funding. Your responsibilities may include supporting children in achieving the lesson objective, leading 1:1 and group intervention programmes, feeding back to the class teacher, maintaining records of progress and behaviour, working with children to support any social, emotional, behavioural, personal care or medical needs and liaising with parents and external professionals.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Be able to model excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a good understanding of how children learn
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the children
  • Be committed to raising standards.
  • Be able to liaise closely with teachers, support staff, parents and the wider community

Information about the school

Temple Grove Academy is located in Tunbridge Wells and occupies a large site with extensive indoor and outdoor space. It is the first academy within Temple Grove Academy Trust. We currently have 238 children on roll in our pre-school Nursery, Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2 departments.

Temple Grove Academy's vision is to provide its pupils with an outstanding education and to enable them to enjoy a richly diverse curriculum, which will inspire every child to develop his or her individual potential. The academy makes use of its outdoor space to offer Forest School activities to pupils.
