Advert

Claremont has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a qualified teacher or HLTA to tutor pupils and support the recovery curriculum across writing and maths. The model we are working with, allows for children to be successful with their peers and not a separate provision. The skilled and talented adult will work alongside and with class teachers to deliver learning during maths and writing lessons during the regular morning classes inside the classrooms, and then provide support/ intervention for individuals or small groups before the following lesson.

The teacher/HLTA will plan alongside the teachers; they will also have their own PPA. Their work will provide personalised interventions which will assist and accelerate progress, and help our pupils retain and extend their potential following lockdown. They will be able to support assessment and track pupils progress and report to DHT. Training/ additional support would be available if needed were the successful candidate a HLTA.

The position is for 3 days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

The role is for a fixed term position from January 2022 to end of term 5 2021 (02.06.2021) based on a limited funding stream which is linked to Recovery. Additional opportunities may be available prior to the termination of this contract which would be advertised and communicated at that time.

Two pay scales apply for this post based on the qualifications of the applicant:

  • Main scale for teachers
  • Kent Range 5 for qualified HLTA
