Working pattern: 20 hours per week over 5 days, term time only

Downe Primary School is a very small village school with a big ambition; to provide the very best for every child. We have a very caring and inclusive ethos and are looking to appoint an individual support assistant to join our highly experienced and friendly team.

We are looking for someone who has the experience and skills to step into our school mid year and welcome a child with an EHCP, who will be new to our school at the same time. The successful candidate will have experience of working directly with children and alongside other members of staff in a primary school setting. Experience of working with children with special educational needs, in particular speech, language and communication needs, would be an advantage.

If you think you could be the person we are looking for, we would be delighted to hear from you and would welcome the opportunity to show you round the school and answer any questions you may have, so you can see for yourself what a wonderful little school we are.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of all children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Enhanced DBS checks are required for this post.
