Advert

Ramsgate Holy Trinity is a lovely, one-form entry primary school full of enthusiastic and dedicated children and staff. We are looking for the right person to join our support team for January 2021, following the retirement of one of our longest-serving teaching assistants!  This will initially be on a two-year fixed term contract.

As this is an in-year appointment, we are looking for somebody who can step into the post as seamlessly as possible. The role will be working predominantly in Year 6 as class TA - but in subsequent academic years this could change.

You will need to be able to follow the direction of the class teacher and have an understanding of what each child or group of children need to accomplish to take them to the next step of their learning. You will need to have the academic skills necessary to stretch our most able, the patience to support those that struggle with new concepts and of course eyes in the back of your head to keep an overview of the whole class!

This role will be suitable for someone with previous experience of being a TA; ideally in Year 6. If your experience is not in Upper Key Stage Two, you will need to demonstrate in your application how your experience makes you well suited to working with our oldest children. We will consider applications from those with the HLTA qualification.

The position is 30 hours a week, term time only plus INSET days (39 weeks)

Please arrange to come and visit us - you need to know that we are the school for you, as much as we need to know that you are the TA for us!

Call Mrs Couch in our office to arrange a date and time.
