We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and motivated Teaching Assistant on a fixed term contract, to support a child in receipt of High Needs Funding.

The hours will be 30 hours per week, term time only, to be worked from 8.45am - 3.15pm, Monday to Friday.

The salary is paid at Kent Range 3, £18,425.00 (£9.55 per hour) pro rata for part time. 

We would like you to have proven, successful, current experience of working with infant age children or with children with special needs. You will need an ability to lead learning with groups and individuals and be able to respond to the needs of children, with support and direction from the teacher. This should be clearly evidenced in your application. 

You will need the minimum of a Level 3 NVQ qualification, or be working towards this, and be able to reflect our nurturing, positive and inclusive ethos. You must have English and Maths GCSE at grade C or above, or adult level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualifications.  

Interviews will be held either via a video call or by socially distanced interview at the school. Please note that we cannot accomodate visits to view the school at this time, but there is lots of information on our school website so you can get a feel for our fantastic school.

St Alphege CE Infant School and Sunbeams Nursery is a happy school within a vibrant Whitstable community with strong links to our sister school Herne CE Infant School.
