Advert

We are currently recruiting of a full-time Science Teacher to work with our KS 3 and KS4 pupils.  The successful candidate will be repsonsible for the teaching and development of mixed age and ability pupils.  Teaching needs to be creative and exciting, to engage and educate our children.

As an individual, the successful candidate needs to be resilient, energetic and enthusiastic in creating a fun learning environment for our pupils to begin to enjoy school and education.  The successful applicant will work closely with the teaching and classroom staff in supporting the students to follow the national curriculum.

Many of our children come to us having experienced a level of trauma and with attachment difficulty related history.  Often these early experiences have meant a very disrupted educational experience and our expertise means that we are able to provide an educational approach that will enable our children to make progress in all areas of their well-being as well as academic progress.  The aim of The Old Priory School is to provide a child-centred environment that meets the individual learning needs of all students.  We do this through a varied and creative approach to the curriculum that develops physical, cognitive, emotional and social skills.  Lessons are made fun and interactive with a focus on emotional development and with a teacher and high ratio of learning support staff in each class, children are given the care and support they need.  We believe that by creating a nurturing environment that focuses on building quality relationships with our students, they will flourish and achieve their full potential.

SEMH experience would be preferable but not essential. Full references and professional checks, including an enhanced DBS will be in place before commencing employment, with a proposed starting date fo the 4th of January 2022.
