We require an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join us to work at All Faiths Children’s Academy. You will be willing to take the opportunity to play a full part in the further development of our school and join us in our aims to make learning irresistible and to provide a nurturing and safe environment for everyone. The successful applicant will be helping students in our Inclusion Centre as well as the wider school.

You will need to hold a relevant GCSE or equivalent, Grade C or above. Good ICT skills would also be desirable.

Information about the school

All Faiths Children’s Academy is a one form entry school, we specialise in teaching deaf children and our expert staff help students to communicate effectively using British Sign Language, Sign Supported English, finger spelling, lip reading and speech using a Total Communication approach. Deafness in itself is not a barrier to learning or an obstacle; every pupil deserves to have the highest expectations for achievement.

As an accredited thinking school, we believe that children learn best when a wide and exciting curriculum is delivered through a framework which allows them to think carefully about everything that takes place. They learn to explore, discover and question through a range of daily activities both inside and outside the classroom.
