We are looking for positive and enthusiastic individuals to join ous at Goat Lees Primary School. You would be working as part of a team to ensure that all children achieve their potential in a happy and safe environment.

We have vacancies for Teaching Assistants to join us in Key Stage 1. We are looking to recruit TAs to help pupils requiring additional support in the classroom. We would be keen to hear from individuals with relevant skills or those who are considering moving into the teaching profession and wish to gain valuable experince in a school environment. 

The position may include supporting small groups, as well as working under the Class Teacher's direction to support all children within the whole class setting. The positions are initially temporary until 31st August 2022; with a possibility of a contract extension, or covering maternity leave. Hours will be 32.5 per week, term time only from 8:30am to 3:30pm daily, although some flexibility may be possible for the right candidates. Additional hours may be available to support our delivery of a range of extra-curricular clubs both before and after school.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who:

  • can be flexible and use own initiative
  • willing to support children in a variety of situations dependent on the needs of the child/ren
  • are enthusiastic and committed to working with children
  • are competent in basic English and Maths skills 
  • holds relavant qualifications or has relevant experience 

A further advantage would be

  • experience of specific programmes or interventions including Speech, Language and Communication/Maths and English support/behaviour support
  • Graduate who is considering teaching qualifications in the future
  • First Aid qualifications

Goat Lees Primary School opened in September 2013 and has a roll of 210 children. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a special learning environment that aims to be at the ‘Heart of the Community’ and to gain further experience in primary education.

Goat Lees Primary School is a one form entry Primary School which opened in September 2013. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a special learning environment that aims to be at the ‘Heart of the Community’. As a member of the CARE Foundation Trust, we work closely with nine other primary schools across the Ashford District to provide support and opportunities for collaboration across our schools.

Our innovative building has been designed by a collaboration of experienced local headteachers and a nationally nominated architectural company which has created a beautiful space in which to stimulate learning. We have further enhanced our facilities by building a performing arts room with a large outdoor stage as part of our commitment to providing a broad and balanced curriculum.

At Goat Lees, we pride ourselves on ensuring that we have done the very best for all our children and work together to bring out the best in everyone.
