The school is seeking to appoint an unqualified teacher to work alongside our extremely dedicated team of teachers to provide continuity of teaching for all our children. 

If your dream is to become a qualified teacher this is the perfect opportunity for you to experience the joy of teaching and gain some experience.  

The successful candidate will:

  • Set high expectations which will motivate and challenge the children
  • manage behaviour effectively to promote a quality learning environment
  • value every child and support their progress
  • be flexible and adaptable to each classes requirements
  • be able to work effectively with a number of different teachers
  • be passionate about promoting a love of learning
  • have the appropriate qualifications including minimum of GCSE English and Maths
  • have prior experience of managing groups of children

This is an exciting and varied role which could offer progression into the teaching qualification route if appropriate.

Information about the school

Otford Primary School is located near Sevenoaks, based in the historic village of Otford. We are a two-form entry school, drawing from the village and immediate surrounding areas with committed staff and parents. We like to maximise links within the village and local community.

The School has undergone buildings and facilities development in the last few years. A large sports field and outdoor spaces are used to maximise physical activity and learning outside the classroom as well as weekly Forest School sessions off site.
