COVER SUPERVISOR

Required from January (or sooner) to July 2022

Salary: Dependent on experience – to be discussed at interview

A confident and reliable person is required to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers. The successful candidate will be expected to give instruction for a lesson as provided by the teacher, ensuring students engage in the learning activity. Experience of working in a school-based environment is desirable. The ability to work professionally under pressure, impose the school’s behaviour management policy and operate flexibly within the changing needs of the school is essential.

St John’s is a successful co-ed Catholic school with over 1250 pupils including c.300 in the Sixth Form. We have a very strong Catholic ethos and pride ourselves in being a warm and welcoming community, something that was externally recognised in our recent Section 48 Inspection of January 2020, where we achieved ‘Outstanding Catholic School’ status.
