OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

  1. Plan, prepare and deliver effective peripatetic instrumental lessons and ensemble lessons.
  2. Resource and arrange music for imaginative, interactive and inspiring instrumental lessons.
  3. Ensure effective learning takes place and pupils make excellent progress.
  4. Teach engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and involve pupils and improve pupil attainment. 
  5. Use regular assessments to monitor progress and set targets.
  6. Maintain and establish positive behaviour for learning.
  7. Actively support concerts and music events at the school.
  8. Communicate and liaise with staff, pupils, parents and governors as appropriate. 
  9. Demonstrate a commitment to Equality of Opportunity for all members of the school’s community.
  10. Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people with regard to Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance and Area Child Protection Procedures.
  11. Undertake any necessary professional development as identified in the School Improvement Plan taking full advantage of any relevant training and development available. 
  12. Maintain a professional portfolio of evidence to support the Performance Management process - evaluating and improving own practice.

Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School is a two form entry primary school in the vibrant and diverse town of Gravesend, Kent; Our school is part of the Diocese of Rochester and a member of the Aletheia Trust.
