Westlands Secondary School is looking for applicants who would be interested in supporting pupils in our mainstream school.

The role of a Teaching Assistant is to work with teachers to support teaching and learning, providing general and specific assistance to pupils and staff under the direction, guidance of the classroom teacher.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of working with children in a similar environment.
  • Have level 1 or 2 diploma (or equivalent) in learning support.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. 
  • A willingness to learn.
