Your chance to be part of a brand new academy! We very recently opened our doors to our founding Year 7 students in September 2021 and we now have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Data Manager, starting in November 2021

Our successful candidate will be responsible for the effective use of the Academy’s management information systems (Bromcom) to support the smooth running of the Academy. The candidate would lead on providing efficient and effective assessment, reporting, recording and tracking of data across the school. They will also be responsible for reconciliation of management information and data for executive level decision making. The successful candidate would be expected to ensure the Academy’s MIS’s is being utilised effectively and to its maximum capabilities to support teaching and learning, behaviours, progress and safeguarding. 

Leigh Academy Rainham are looking for someone who has ideally already worked in the education industry with knowledge of Management Information Systems, ideally Bromcom. The Academy would, however, be prepared to consider candidates who are willing to learn and have the fundamental computing skills required to swiftly upskill themselves in how to use new management information software. The working basis is 35 hours per week during Term Time, plus 2 additional weeks throughout the year. Please be aware that we can negotiate the working pattern for an exceptional candidate, so please state on your application if you have a preferred number of working hours/days per week.

Our successful candidate will;

  • Have a solid foundation that comes from your breadth of experience working with MIS and have experience within the education industry or has a strong computing skillset to rapidly learn the Bromcom system. 
  • Can interpret strategic requests and translate effectively to deliver excellent results for learners and your colleagues in the academy
  • Are a skilled and flexible individual who can deliver through others, backed up with a technical awareness of MIS systems and processes
  • Have an eye on the future you will also be thinking about how we can develop our processes, identifying opportunities to improve the student experience through their journey with us at the academy

Our successful candidate will be responsible for;

  • Ensuring that MIS systems are utilised effectively throughout the learner journey from enrolment, timetabling to examinations;
  • The continual development of our MIS and associated systems;
  • Compliance to all internal and external regulatory requirements including monthly returns of student records, accurate learner records;
  • Reporting to academy leadership to facilitate decision making.

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2022, our Trust comprises 31 geographically organised academies (15 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating 20,000 students, and employing 3,000 talented staff. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.
