The Pathway Academy Trust (TPAT) is a small Gravesham Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) of 5 schools, working collaboratively to improve outcomes for children from our communities.

The aim of our Trust is to ensure that the achievements of the children are the best they can be; our Trust schools are happy inclusive learning spaces. Our schools value their school’s hard-working and dedicated staff, ensuring effective staff retention and recruitment.

Currently, TPAT is recruiting volunteers with an interest in their local communities to consider becoming a Director. Ideally, the Trust is seeking someone with finance, HR or governance experience to further strengthen our Trust Board.

Directors are responsible for governing a charitable company and directing how it is managed and run. Directors must also ensure that TPAT complies with all legal and statutory requirements.

The Trust encourages Directors to make a positive and meaningful contribution to the work of the Board by:

  • attending meetings (typically 6 full Board meetings each year), reading papers and preparing questions for the senior executive leaders in advance;
  • establishing and maintaining professional relationships with senior executive leaders and colleagues on the board of Directors;
  • getting to know schools within the Trust, including visiting occasionally during school hours; and
  • undertaking induction training and developing knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis

If you are interested in joining the Board, please contact either Nicole Caulfield (Deputy CEO) (nicole.caulfield@tpat.co.uk) or Ron Dale (Company Secretary) (ron.dale@tpat.co.uk) with

  • a copy of your current CV
  • a brief outline of what attracts you to this role
  • a brief outline of your relevant experience
  • and what skills you might bring to the Board
