We are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisor to join our dedicated team from November 2021, or sooner. Ifield School is a Foundation co-educational Special School for pupils aged 4 to 19 years with Profound, Severe and Complex learning needs including communication and interaction difficulties. The majority of pupils have learning difficulties associated with Autism, Speech, Language and Communication and, in addition, some pupils have complex medical conditions.

The Midday Supervisor post is for 10 hours per week, term time only, Kent Range 3 (£18,425 FTE pro-rata + SEN Allowance pro-rata). Working days and hours are Monday to Friday, 11.30am to 1.30pm. Initially, this is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2022, subject to review at the end of this period.

The postholder is required to work for 39 weeks per year. In addition, the postholder will receive a payment in respect of their pro rata entitlement to Annual Leave appropriate to their grade, Bank Holidays and the KCC concessionary day.

The role of Midday Supervisor involves supervising and interacting with pupils, working inside and outside of the school during the playtime and lunchtime period. The duties will include mealtime and playtime supervision. This is an exciting school-based opportunity for those who are interested in supporting the wider development of children. Experience of Special Educational Needs would be preferred although is not essential when applying for this post.
