Staplehurst School is a large village primary school with lovely children and fantastic facilities.

We are seeking to appoint a Receptionist to provide a first-class front of house service. Duties will include taking all telephone calls and recording messages where appropriate, dealing with enquiries at the school's reception desk, answering email enquiries, maintaining school diaries, helping families with school uniform sales and supporting the wider office team.  

  • The successful candidate will:

    • have experience of reception duties, preferably within an education setting
    • have the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
    • have excellent communication and administrative skills
    • be proficient in the use of IT with a good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.

Our closing date for applications is Monday 4 October 2021. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 6 October 2021. The start date would be ASAP

This contract is A FIXED TERM contract ending on 22nd July 2022.

Hours are from 09:00 to 14:00 Monday to Friday, with an unpaid 15 minute break. This equates  23.75 hours per week TTO Kent Range 3 (£18,425) pro rata'd.

Our school is a two form entry community school, with approximately 400 pupils. Situated conveniently, between Maidstone and Cranbrook, in a beautiful rural part of Kent, the school, with its ‘outward-facing, best practice at heart’ culture, has achieved sustained academic improvement and continues to retain an excellent, enthusiastic team of staff.

Blessed within beautiful and spacious grounds, Staplehurst School has the added benefit of two large sports halls, music room, library and a lovely Early Years outside space, as well as a Breakfast Club available from 7.30am and an After School Club until 5.30pm.
