Are you an outstanding, inspirational and creative individual looking for a new challenge? Drapers Mills Primary Academy in Margate is on an exciting journey. We are looking to add to our already successful team who have taken the school out of Special Measures to become a Good school with outstanding features (Ofsted, 2018). We are now heading towards the world of ‘Good and Beyond’ and are looking for the right individual to join us on our travels as a Teaching Assistant.

Drapers Mills Primary Academy is part of the Kemnal Academies Trust, which is one of the largest multi-academy trusts in the south of England; with over 40 primary and secondary schools in the TKAT family. This enables the school to offer excellent CPD and training opportunities and uses a highly effective coaching/mentoring approach to develop its staff. We believe in a culture of partnering for performance and work closely with other TKAT academies and Thanet schools.

 

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work alongside our fabulous teaching staff, giving support to the children in our care.

 

The successful candidate will :

- have an excellent work ethic
- have high expectations
- be committed to providing a welcoming stimulating learning experience for all the children at our school
- be creative, imaginative and innovative
- resourceful, purposeful, resilient and well organised
- have effective behaviour management strategies
- have an understanding of early years assessment
- ideally be at least NVQ level 3 qualified (or equivalent) or NVQ level 2 with the intent to complete level 3 at the earliest opportunity.
- have at least a C pass in GCSE English and Maths
