St Matthew’s High Brooms, CE Primary School requires a pastoral mentor to join their pastoral team to support the needs of vulnerable children. You will be required to provide emotional and pastoral support to children across the school who have been identified in needing additional support to break down barriers to learning. You need to be empathetic and caring, and be prepared to work with initiative within a strong pastoral team.

The post is for 20 hours per week. How this is organised over the week will be decided with the successful candidate.

Information about the school

St Matthew's High Brooms Church of England Primary School, is a two-form entry Church of England primary school in a semi-urban area of Tunbridge Wells and Southborough. We have an extensive site and large outdoor areas.

At present there are approximately 360 children on roll. The school serves the community of High Brooms, St John's and Southborough.

We are a happy and lively school that places the children at the heart of everything that we do. Children benefit from many opportunities and take part in the excellent range of academic, physical and creative activities that we offer, both during and after school.

Our most recent Ofsted in July 2018 was graded good.
