MIDDAY MEAL SUPERVISOR – PART TIME ROLE

Salary: NJC E2

Contract: Permanent Part-Time Contract

10 hours a week

2 hours a day

Term time only

Start Date: as soon as possible

Due to the re-location of one of our super lunch team, a position has arisen at All Saints Church of England Primary School for a responsible and caring midday meals supervisor to join our friendly, hard- working group of staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding the children within their care over their lunchtime break, maintaining good standards of behaviour at all times and modelling our school’s Christian vision and values.

We are looking to appoint someone with a range of proven childcare experience either personally or professionally, who together with the rest of the lunch team will be managed by the school Business Manager to:

  • Prepare the dining hall for lunch service if requested
  • Maintain orderly and quiet queues whilst children wait to be served
  • Assist pupils where necessary with the use of dining table resources
  • Help clear tables and spillages when they occur
  • Model good manners and respect to others at all times
  • Engage positively with the children whilst they are at play/ have finished eating
  • Promote quiet and orderly movement throughout the school
  • Lead the children in innovative games and active play when outside

All Saints Church of England Primary School is a very successful family school located at the heart of the diverse community of Chatham, Kent. The main school has 315 children on roll from Reception to Year 6 and the nursery has a capacity for 60 more.

The last Ofsted inspection graded the school “good” with outstanding features and our last Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) concurred by grading the school as "good" too.

In September 2015, with three other local Church schools, we formed Medway Anglican Schools Trust.
