The school is seeking a practical, flexible and friendly person for the post of caretaker at Dymchurch Primary School on Romney Marsh.

 

The role includes a range of duties connected with security, caretaking and minor repairs of the school site. The role is a crucial part of the day to day running of the school which benefits the children, staff and visitors. The requirements of this role will include occasional alarm call outs.

 

The successful candidate will be practical with good DIY skills, take pride in their work and be able to observe safe working practices whilst carrying out their duties.

 

The hours of work will be 6.00am to 8.30am and 3:30pm to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, all year round (52 weeks).

Interviews will be held on: Monday 18 October 2021 at Dymchurch Primary School

 

Salary range is OCMAT KR4 £18129 to £19239 (pro rata). A pay award is pending.

 

This is a permanent contract subject to a six-month probationary period.

 

This position is subject to a full background DBS check and reference checks because the successful candidate will be working in education and will come into contact with children. The successful candidate must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
