St. Crispin's is looking for two Teaching Assistants to join our team supporting our children. At present the vacancies are in Year 1.
We have one permanent position which is for 27.5 hours per week, 8.45am to 3.15 pm, with an unpaid hour for lunch. The second position is temporary to the end of August 2021 in the first instance, but it could be extended for the right candidate.
Salary is KR3 £18,425 which for a 27.5 hour role equates to £11,476 per annum.
Ideally you will have a related qualification and some experience of working with this age group of children (4 - 7 years) but just as important is an enthusiasm for the role and an understanding of what it involves.
At St Crispin's, the TA role is to support the learning in class so you will be working with groups and individuals as well as occasionally taking small group sessions outside the classroom. Occasionally you may supervise the whole class with another TA. Knowledge of teaching phonics and early reading will be an advantage, although training in our methods will be provided.
Our children are enthusiastic about learning and come to school happily and we want our new team member to support this positive, inclusive ethos.
