Part time (32.5 hours per week - 39 weeks per year)
 
(Additional 5 weeks paid holiday)
 
Working Hours:   6.45 am - 1.30 pm Monday - Friday
 
Responsibilities of Secondary Catering Manager:
  • Assisting with menu design
  • Cooking main meals
  • Assisting with ordering
  • Managing staff within the secondary kitchen
  • Making sure food produced is within guidelines, cooked on time and of the best quality and quantity required
  • To work alongside the Whole School Catering Manager with regard to all parts of the running of a Secondary School kitchen.
  • To be proactive with ideas for new produces which the pupils can purchase which fall into the school food standards.
  • To be able to be independent and manage the kitchen when the Whole School Catering Mangaer is at Primary and during the day to day running of the kitchen.

Must have:

  • Experience in a school kitchen setting
  • Cooking experience
  • Current Level 2 Food Hygiene (including access to it - not owned by previous employers)

Advantage, but not essential:

  • Management experience
  • Current Level 3 Food Management (including access to it - not owned by previous employers)
