We wish to appoint a highly qualified and outstanding Teacher of PE with a primary focus on sport for girls.
The post offers excellent opportunity to work in a thriving and dynamic school within a successful and friendly department. The successful candidate will have specialist subject knowledge of teaching and umpiring competitive team sports including netball and/or basketball.

The successful candidate will have the drive to create a healthy balance of participation and competition for our students, meanwhile being required to make a significant contribution to the daily roles and responsibilities of a Physical Education teacher, including extra-curricular sports.

The candidate will have experience teaching Physical Education across Key Stage 3-5 including AQA GCSE PE, Level 2 BTEC Sport First Award and Level 3 BTEC Sport Diploma/Extended Certificate, is desirable.

Information about the school

Located on the southern fringes of the historic city of Canterbury, St Anselm's is a happy and successful wide ability school, catering for those who wish to receive a Catholic education. The school has a large catchment area extending from Ashford to Herne Bay and from Wingham to Faversham. It is regularly over-subscribed. The Sixth Form, numbering 150 students, offers a wide range of Advanced level and vocational courses. In September 2004 the school became a specialist school for Science, though retaining its Catholic ethos.
